Welcome to the Chronicles of Azurock!

Chapter 1

Azurock is lying on the torture table unconscious. The table is designed for the farmer cast so his feet are sticking way beyond the end. Normally a warrior would not be in this position but the enemy discovered Azurock's love of a beverage called zango which his helmet could not replicate. Azurock took off his helmet to drink the zango not realizing it had been poisened. Luckily he put the helmet back just after ingesting the tasty beverage. Having detected the poison the helmet immediately started the filtering and healing process.

The poison had already started taking effect rendering the warrior unconscious. Waking up on the torture table Azurock realized that all of his garments had been removed with the exception, of course, of the helmet and cape. These could not be removed without Azurock specifically willing it. His body had already been tortured including burns, stabbing and even had his right hand cut off. The heal had begun but the new right hand was not usable yet. Looking around the room , as much as possible with his entire body strapped to the table, Azurock discovered that his tormentors had left to take a break. He could hear them strategizing in the next room on what to try next.

Having decided to cut Azurock in half, the tormentors headed back to the torture chamber. Azurock could not afford to let them do this as they could perpetually keep him from healing enough to escape. After one last attempt to break his bonds, Azurock calmed himself and went into doubletime mode. This is a heightened state of consciousness in which a warrior appears to slow down normal time by half. As the tormentors were entering the room at half speed, Azurock tried to call his sword Durendal but being right handed he could not call it with his half healed right hand. He tried with his left hand and Durendal did not seem to respond. As the first tormentor approached and was raising his axe to strike, Durendal appeared in the doorway. Flying to Azurock's healing right hand. Azurock had to muster all strength he could to get his child like right hand to grasp Durneal's handle. At this moment the axe was raised to full draw and was thrusting towards Azurok's bare abomen. Azurock with one deft flip of Durendal was able to cut the bond of his left hand then intercept the falling axe with enough force to send it flying. Durendal then flew into the grip of his left hand and our hero quickly dispatched the closest tormentor as the second was grasping for the handle of the flying axe.
